Issue an assurance bundle
An assurance bundle collects evidence for a stated scope and period: findingsFindingA difference in the records that needs a decision. It includes its sources and can describe a slow handoff, disputed fact or missing owner., cases, the reproducible sample, the comparison and the hashHashA fixed-length fingerprint calculated from content. Comparing fingerprints helps detect changes and match records. that binds them. Installation checks compare files against it. lists what was excluded and why.
The bundle says what its period means for the findings, in one of two ways:
- Current at issue, the default. Findings are shown as they stand when the bundle is issued. The period selects the recorded actions only.
- Opened in the period. Only findings first recorded within the period are included, still shown as they stand at issue.
Findings as they stood on a past date are not available in this release. A request for them is refused, with the reason. Documents that were purgedPurgeRemoving a stored document’s contents while keeping a record that it was removed and why. Conclusions that used it must be checked again. are listed by name and reason in both modes. A sample smaller than the number of finding kinds names the kinds it left out.
It is an input an assurer can review. It is not an assurance opinion, a certification of independence, or a universal policy evaluation. An external acceptance record can cite the bundle by hash; NovusLens records that citation and never makes the decision.
