Build a connector, probe or exporter
A connectorConnectorSoftware that reads records from a source system, such as an incident tool. A customer-written file connects those records to teams or services in NovusLens. brings records from another system into NovusLens. If you are looking for a plugin, this is the supported integration path: a source-specific connector or exporter, rather than a universal plugin marketplace.
Start with one real example record and decide what it can establish. An access log can show an attempted operation; it may not tell you who authorised it or whether the business outcome succeeded.
Decide first which contract the source speaks: telemetryTelemetryMeasurements and activity records sent by a running system, such as ticket timings, network traffic or workflow results. for measured couplingsCouplingA link where one team or service depends on another. Its Loose, Buffered or Rigid class describes the time needed for a handoff. and scores, or agent evidence for grants, operations, interventions, outcomes, remitsRemitA written list of an agent’s allowed actions, resources and destinations for information. The list states whether it is complete. and activities.
- Identify a small approved sample and document what each status means.
- Write the mapping: every source field, target field, transformation, rejection condition and fixtureFixtureA prepared set of records used for a test or demonstration. A fixture is sample data, not a live customer's records.. Include malformed lines, duplicates, gaps, failed operations, late events and unit mismatches. Preserve omissions in the coverage statement instead of making the output look complete.
- Emit bounded records with stable namespacedNamespaceA naming area that keeps one set of records apart from another. NovusLens uses the conway/ prefix so its keys do not occupy Mycelium's reserved names. ids and repeatable batch and cursor identities. Do not invent authorisation, intervention or outcome records the source does not hold.
- Enrol the source and activate the policy (see Enrol a source).
- Send, verify the receipt, then the view.
The worked exporter in the repository shows the shape on a deliberately messy access log. It is a starting implementation, not a certified vendor connector.
