Send the change, and read what a re-run does.
The twinTwinNovusLens’s model of one organisation, built from records about its teams, services and how they rely on one another. It is only as current as those records. is only as current as its inputs. This page answers “something changed, now what?”. Each input page has a table headed “What a re-run does”. Read it for the input you are about to send.
A change, and what carries it
| What changed | Send | What happens to what is already there |
|---|---|---|
| A team was created, renamed, moved or closed | The org chart | The unit_id is the identity. Changing only the display name keeps the cellCellA box on the map that stands for a team, service, supplier or AI agent. It is a unit you can inspect, not necessarily a department or a person.. Changing unit_id creates a new cell; the old one stays. |
| Someone joined, moved team or left | The people export | Declared complete, it is a snapshot: people the file does not name, in the teams it lists, are withdrawn. |
| A service or account was added or removed | The estate export | Additions land. Nothing is removed, because an export cannot say a resource is gone. |
| A policy or runbook was revised | The document, naming the one it replaces | The predecessor is retracted with the reason recorded and drops out of every read. Its history stays. |
| A business domainDomainA business area defined by the work it does, such as purchasing or customs. It may involve several teams, and one team may serve several areas. was added or changed | The taxonomy | Domains and their links stay unless separately changed; this input only adds them. |
| An agentAgentA program that takes actions for an organisation. NovusLens records what it is allowed to do and what its activity reports show. was retired or re-scoped | The agent inventory | Its record updates on a development installation. The inventory commands are refused by the customer profileDeployment profileA setting that selects customer or development behaviour. Customer mode refuses development credentials and uses the signed-in session as the identity.; use the customer route on the linked page. |
| A calibrationCalibrationThe customer's own rule that turns raw figures, such as a gauge, a workflow history or an incident log, into a C/A/R score. A score moves when the calibration moves, and the change is recorded. changed | The mapping, then acquire again | The score moves on the record, with the mapping’s revision beside it. |
| An observation was wrong | A correctionCorrectionA change to a recorded value or record. The earlier version stays in the history, and any conclusion that depended on it is checked again. record from the same sourceSourceA document, interview statement, measurement or export that supports a value. Each source has a date and a stated scope. | The original stays in history. |
| A feed stopped | Nothing | Entries age out and the mapMapThe view of teams, services and their dependencies for the selected part of the organisation. Details appear beside the map. says so. Do not re-send old data to hide it. |
Two rules
Absence usually means nothing. For every input except the people export, leaving a record out of a later file changes nothing. Only the people export can say a list is complete, and only for the teams it lists.
ToldToldEvidence that somebody stated the value. It is the weakest level, and it is always attributed to its speaker. never overwrites shownShownEvidence that a document supports a value. A recovery plan that states a target shows the target, but it does not show that the target was achieved.. An interview cannot quietly replace something a document established. Where they disagree, the difference is recorded as a findingFindingA difference in the records that needs a decision. It includes its sources and can describe a slow handoff, disputed fact or missing owner. for a person to resolve.
After you send
The change appears after the next projectionProjectionThe regular pass that brings the read model up to date with the canonical log. It runs every 30 seconds by default. pass, about thirty seconds by default. TelemetryTelemetryMeasurements and activity records sent by a running system, such as ticket timings, network traffic or workflow results. needs the correction pass as well. Check the map’s records as of line, not the command’s exit code. See status messages and states.
Removing an organisation entirely is a different act. See accounts and stewardship.
